How to Use the Submittal & Closeout Submittal Builder
This guide provides a step-by-step approach to efficiently use the Submittal/Closeout Submittal Builder, making it easy for users to manage and track project submittals. It streamlines the process of notifying subcontractors, selecting appropriate CSI codes, and adding necessary documentation, ensuring that all required information is accurately captured.
Steps:
- 
Navigate to your Project Dashboard for the project you need to add submittals or closeout submittals to.

Click Submittal Builder in the left menu.
 - 
Select either Submittals or Closeout Submittals from the drop-down selector.
 - 
Under Prepopulated Contact, select the subcontractor you want to create submittals for.
 - 
(Optional) Click Send Email to Above to notify the subcontractor that submittals have been added.
 - 
Set the initial status to Unsubmitted.
 - 
Type your CSI code for the submittal.
 - 
Click Filter to let eComm populate matching CSI codes.
 - 
Choose the Submittal Types you wish to create (you may select more than one).
 - 
If a required submittal type isn’t listed, use the blank option at the bottom.
 - 
Add a description for each submittal you’re creating.
 - 
Optionally, attach files by dragging them over or clicking Browse to select.
 - 
Click Create to add the submittals to your Submittal Log.
