Create a New Prime Contract or Subcontractor Contract

This guide outlines how to create a new prime contract in eComm: setting up the contract, linking to projects and parties, entering key terms, and preparing documentation for execution.

Steps:

  • Open the relevant project in eComm.

  • Navigate to the Prime Contracts module or section.

  • Click “Create New Prime Contract” (or similar button).

  • Enter the Contract Title and select the Contractor / Party.

  • Choose the Start Date and Estimated Completion Date.

  • Select or define the Contract Value / Budget.

  • Choose any Funding Source or Allowances / Contingencies if applicable.

  • Add Inclusions and Exclusions to clarify scope.

  • Attach any relevant documents or signed agreements.

  • Set the Status of the contract (Draft, Out for Signature, Approved, etc.).

  • Enter the Digital Signature or upload an executed document if required.

  • Click Save or Create Contract to finalize the record.
