Posting an item in eComm

This guide provides a straightforward approach to posting new items efficiently, offering multiple methods based on user preference. It details the necessary steps to ensure all required information and documentation are accurately submitted. By following these instructions, users can streamline their workflow and enhance their project management skills.

Steps:

  • There are multiple ways to post a new item: either from the Project Dashboard or from the Item Log page

  • From the Project Dashboard: use the dropdown menu at the top to select the item type you want to post

  • The new item page will open — fill out required information and attach any necessary documentation

  • For simple items, click “Post and Close”; for items with workflows, the button may read “Create”

  • To post via the Item Log page: click Item Logs in the left menu

  • Select the item type you need to create

  • Click “Post New” at the top of the item log page

  • Fill out the fields as needed

  • Click “Create” when ready

  • If a required field is missing data, an error indicator will appear — scroll to that field, enter the data, and then submit
