How to Use the Submittal & Closeout Submittal Builder
This guide provides a step-by-step process for using the Submittal and Closeout Builder, which is essential for efficiently managing project submissions. By following the outlined steps, users can easily assign submittals, filter CSI codes, and specify important details such as lead times and descriptions. This streamlined approach not only saves time but also enhances communication with assigned users, ensuring that all necessary information is accurately recorded.
Steps:

Click “Submittal and Closeout Builder” in the left hand menu from your project dashboard.

From the drop down menu either select “Submittals” or “Closeout Submittals.”

Select your “Prepopulated Contact” from the drop down menu.

Filter for the “CSI Code” that you want to build submittals for.

If you are using Bid Categories in your project select the apropriate one.

Search for the Submittal Types you wish to create.
- Multiples can be selected here.
- If you don’t see your type you can add a custom type by checking the box and typing out the type of submittal.

Add your Description.
- Try to be as descriptive as possible – this field will be important when your project gets closed out.

If you are using “Required On-Site” and “Lead Times” you will need to enter that in.

Review your workflow to make sure the Submittals are going to the correct users.

Scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Create”.
Your submittal/submittals should now display at the bottom of the page.
