Release Date: March 4, 2024

The eComm 2.3.2.1029 release includes system updates and workflow enhancements related to daily reports, document markup, notifications, project closeout, user profile fields, editing, and workflow processing.

What’s New in eComm 2.3.2.1029

.NET Core Update

System updates have been fully implemented to allow for future flexibility in design.

Daily Reports – Email Notices

Email notices can now be sent to roles or specific contacts.

To update Daily Report email notices, navigate to the Edit Project page and select Daily Report Notifications.

Daily Reports – View Permissions

Daily Report view permissions can now be set separately from posting permissions.

To update view permissions, navigate to the Edit Project page and set permissions by role.

Document Management Using Markup Tool

When this feature is enabled, any PDF saved through eComm’s markup tool will create a new PDF attachment.

The new PDF is renamed using the following format:

[Original File Name] by [Contact Name]

To enable this feature, navigate to the Edit Project page and check:

Add Contact Name to the Item Attachment After PDF Editor Save

Email Notification Update

Users can now turn off all project notifications from My Profile.

Edit Current Step

Superusers can now manage the current step’s required processors.

Previously, superusers could only manage steps after the current step.

Managing the Project Closeout and Deletion Process

The project closeout and deletion process has been updated:

  • The Delete project option has been removed.
  • The Trash setting for a project is set to a one-week delete window.
  • Projects can be rescued from Trash within that one-week period, if needed.
  • Closeout creates the zip file and places it in the closeout folder.

Mobile/Direct

The Mobile and Direct # fields have been combined into one user field:

Mobile/Direct #

This field can be updated from the user’s profile.

Edit Mode

Edit mode is now accessed by clicking the pencil icon inside an item.

Once edit mode is enabled, the user may save changes.

Edit rights must be provided to the user to enable this feature. Edit remains available to the required processor as normal.

Disable Project Notifications Per Project

Project notifications can now be enabled or disabled per project.

To update this setting, navigate to the Edit Project page and use the Notifications Enabled checkbox.

  • Checked: notifications are enabled
  • Unchecked: notifications are disabled

Send Back a Step

When Send Back a Step is used, the entire step of required processors receives notification and is allowed to process the item.

The Send Back a Step button is available to everyone in the company of the poster who is also in the same role, rather than being limited to the individual who posted the item.

This gives the team more control and avoids restricting the workflow to one individual.
